The process of powder coating
At TECHNOV, we offer the latest powder coating surface treatment service.
Powder coating represents a modern technology of surface treatment of metal products, in which the coating is applied by spraying in an electrostatic field.
Powder paint adheres to the surface of treated metal (or other conductive) products due to electrostatic forces.
Powder paint particles can become electrostatically charged in one of two ways:
by electrostatic charging when the powder passes through the high-voltage field concentrated in the nozzle of the spray gun
by tribostatic charging, when the charge is created by the friction of moving powder particles against a special type of insulator, which is the lined tube of the spray gun
During the subsequent firing in the oven at a temperature of approx. 180-200 °C, the powder paint on the surface of the product melts and creates a homogeneous coating. After removing the products from the oven and cooling them in the air, the final surface is ready.
The created coating has a highly aesthetic appearance and perfect elasticity. This method of painting will ensure the resistance of metal surfaces to abrasion, their color stability, as well as excellent external durability. Thanks to the powder coating, the metal surfaces easily resist scratches, which could not be avoided when using classic colors.
And in addition, today this method of surface treatment is one of the most ecological methods of surface treatment, which does not harm the environment or human health.
